Environment and Climate
The largest Aurubis AG production site and the Group headquarters are located on the Elbe island Peute, only about four kilometers, as the crow flies, from Hamburg’s city hall. The site covers an area of 870,000 m².
Aurubis Bulgaria is the largest copper producer in southeastern Europe and the second largest company in Bulgaria.
Umwelt und Klima
The Lünen site is an important recycling center of Aurubis AG.
Olen plant is one of the four copper production sites of Aurubis and specializes in the production of cathodes, Aurubis Rod, Aurubis Foxrod and Aurubis Bars & Profiles.
Aurubis Stolberg has been part of the Aurubis Group since 2002 and supplies high-precision strip, foil, and shaped wire for many different applications.
Aurubis Buffalo, located in the US state of New York, is about a half-hour away from Niagara Falls by car. Copper products have been fabricated here since 1906.
The Aurubis Finland production site is located in western Finland in Pori on the Kokemäenjoki River.
Aurubis Italia, the only copper rod producer in southern Italy, is located in Avellino. In 2018, a total of around 100 employees produced about 170,000 t of rod and about 3,000 t of wire for special applications.
Peute Baustoff GmbH is a 100 % subsidiary of Aurubis AG. It was founded in 1992 from the building materials department and is responsible for marketing the iron silicate products produced at Aurubis in Hamburg and Lünen.
The 100 % Aurubis subsidiary RETORTE is located in Röthenbach a.d. Pegnitz.
E.R.N. specializes in recycling electrical and electronic equipment of all kinds.
Beerse excels in recycling and refining non-ferrous metals, metal products, and minerals.
With about 90 employees, the site focuses on complex recycling materials to produce black copper, solder, and minerals.
