Copper Mark recertification
Aurubis AG has officially started the process for recertification according to the sustainability seal 'The Copper Mark' for the Hamburg and Lünen sites. The Copper Mark is a leading quality assurance system to promote responsible production practices in the metallic raw materials industry and covers environmental, social and governance (ESG) criteria.
As part of this commitment, Aurubis will undergo an external, independent assessment from June 2 - June 6, 2025, to ensure that its operations meet the standards of The Copper Mark. The sites will be reassessed in the following areas
- Environmental protection and sustainable use of resources
- Responsible sourcing of raw materials
- Human rights and labor rights
- Health and safety
- Community engagement and stakeholder involvement
- Business integrity and governance
Assessment periods:
- Hamburg plant: 02.06.2025 - 04.06.2025
- Lünen plant: 05.06.2025 - 06.06.2025
