Aurubis Bulgaria invests in the future of sports in the Srednogorie region

In 2025, the company will continue to provide financial support to sports clubs in Pirdop and Zlatitsa 

Sports and an active lifestyle are among the top priorities in Aurubis Bulgaria's social policy. As part of its partnership programs with the municipalities of Pirdop, Zlatitsa, and Anton, the company consistently supports local initiatives and sports clubs, creating conditions for the development of sports in the region.

In 2024, Aurubis Bulgaria provided BGN 80,000 to support sports and active lifestyles in the municipality of Pirdop and over BGN 70,000 to finance sports activities and projects in the municipality of Zlatitsa.

For 2025, the company has donated another BGN 80,000 to support the activities of all sports clubs in the municipality of Pirdop, where more than 400 children from the region actively train.

"Aurubis Bulgaria" is the main and largest supporter of the club, providing 90% of the funds needed to achieve the club's goals and program.
Without the financial assistance provided by Aurubis Bulgaria, we would not be able to carry out our activities in this volume and format," said Ivan Kotov, chairman of SK Volleyball – Pirdop.

"The support of Aurubis Bulgaria gives us stability and security in the training process and official matches. It gives us the opportunity to develop as a football club," comments Krasimir Pastushki, chairman of FC Pirdop.

In 2025, the company will continue to invest in infrastructure for an active lifestyle. In addition to financing club activities, part of the funds will be allocated to the construction of new areas for sports activities. An outdoor fitness area was built in the municipality of Anton in the courtyard of the St. St. Cyril and Methodius Primary School, and during the summer months in the town of Pirdop, a skateboard ramp will be built, which will enrich the sports opportunities for young people.

With its long-term support for sports, Aurubis Bulgaria creates conditions for an active and healthy lifestyle for children and young people in the Sredogorie region.
