Aurubis Bulgaria launches a new format for meetings with all employees to promote dialogue and transparency
Bulgaria | Friday, March 27, 2026
Aurubis Bulgaria held the first series of meetings with all employees in a new interactive “Marketplace” format, aimed at promoting open dialogue, transparency, and better communication within the company.
The meetings took place on March 24 and 25 at the plant. The event was open to all employees, with sessions scheduled at several-hour intervals to allow colleagues from different shifts to attend.
Rakan Rahbani, CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria, attended all the meetings to meet with employees and participate in the discussions. “Over the past few months, I’ve had the opportunity to meet many colleagues and speak with them directly. I’ve seen how valuable these conversations are. “With these meetings, we want to create more opportunities like this—for people to have access to information and feel comfortable asking the questions that matter to them,” he said.
What sets the “Marketplace” format different is that the meetings were organized as an interactive space with three information booths. Each booth presented a topic of importance to the company. A diverse team comprising representatives from the “Sales,” “Production,” “Logistics,” "Environment," and "Finance" was tasked with familiarizing participants with key facts and plans related to iron silicate—one of the byproducts produced by Aurubis Bulgaria. A large team from the “Engineering” department presented the second key topic: the company’s current and future investment projects. Representatives from the “Sustainability, Public Affairs, and Communications” department and the “Human Resources” department provided numerous examples of the company’s commitment to the region and the country, including partnership program projects in the municipalities of Zlatitsa, Pirdop, and Anton, as well as other social initiatives.
The format of the meetings was entirely focused on two-way communication, with participants discussing all topics and having the opportunity to ask questions and speak directly with their colleagues.
The new meeting format will be held regularly, with the goal of building on the dialogue with employees and focusing on the topics that matter most to them.
