Aurubis Beerse Participates Virtually in Voka Open Company Day

On Sunday, October 4, Aurubis Beerse will participate virtually in Voka Open Company Day, part of Flanders Technology & Innovation (FTI). For this edition, we’re presenting an exclusive corporate video that introduces the public to our operations, our technologies, and our employees.

In the video, you’ll discover how complex recycled materials are transformed into valuable non-ferrous metals and how Aurubis Beerse contributes to the circular economy every day.

Aurubis Beerse is part of the Aurubis Group, a leading global supplier of non-ferrous metals and one of the world’s largest copper recycling companies. Since 1919, the company has specialized in recovering non-ferrous metals from a wide variety of material streams.

With over 500 employees, Aurubis Beerse processes more than 660 different types of recycled materials from 56 countries worldwide. Thanks to ongoing investments in research and development, the company continues to address the challenges of future raw material supply.

One of the recycling departments featured in the video is ASPA (Advanced Sludge Processing by Aurubis). This in-house developed system makes it possible to recover valuable metals, such as tin and precious metals, from anode sludge more quickly and efficiently. In this way, ASPA illustrates how innovation plays a key role in making metal recycling more sustainable.
