Aurubis Bulgaria will finance projects worth BGN 1.1 million under the new partnership program with the municipality of Zlatitsa in the Srednogorie region

Aurubis Bulgaria AD will provide one million one hundred thousand leva for activities supporting the development of Zlatitsa within the framework of the new partnership program between the municipality and the company. The programme's priorities are education, healthcare, culture, social activities and healthy lifestyles, with the deadline for implementation of the planned projects until September 2027.

The agreement was signed on December 2, 2025, in Zlatitsa by Eng. Lyubomir Tsvetkov, mayor of the municipality, Rakan Rahbani, CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria, and Ivaylo Georgiev, Sustainability and Public Affairs Manager.

Funds are provided for the medical center in the town of Zlatitsa and for the doctors' offices in the villages of Karlievo, Tsarkvishte, and Petrich. Support will be provided for activities to improve the conditions for education and sports at the St. Paisiy Hilendarski Secondary School, The company will cover the costs of school meals for secondary school students. Heat pumps, photovoltaic panels, and batteries will be installed to improve the energy efficiency of the two kindergarten buildings. "The partnership between the municipality and the company is a shining example of long-standing social commitment to the region.

The partnership program also funds activities of sports clubs and amateur groups in the area, the local community center, pensioners' clubs, and clubs for people with disabilities. Aurubis Bulgaria continues its traditional support for cultural events in the town and villages of the municipality. The renovation of classrooms at the Zlatitsa Professional High School is also continuing.

Aurubis Bulgaria's partnership programs with the municipalities of Zlatitsa, Pirdop, and Anton in the Srednogorie region are framework agreements that set the main priorities and projects and are renewed periodically. The company has invested over BGN 6 million in the development of the region over the past five years.
