Final of the internal tournaments of Aurubis Bulgaria with guest of honor Hristo Stoichkov

With a festive ceremony at the Ivan Minkin Sports Hall in Pirdop, Aurubis Bulgaria placed the final accent on this year's internal sports tournaments.
A special guest at the event was Bulgarian football legend Hristo Stoichkov, who brought unforgettable emotions with his personal presence and inspiring message to the participants.

"Sport teaches discipline, dedication, and teamwork—values that are just as important off the field. I am delighted to see how a company like Aurubis manages to unite its employees through sport," said Stoichkov.

Throughout September, Aurubis Bulgaria employees actively participated in the already established internal sports tournaments. This year's program included the well-known disciplines—tennis, chess, table tennis, belote, fishing, and football—as well as new sports such as running, folk ball, volleyball, and darts.

The competitions were fierce and full of excitement, with sporting spirit dominating throughout. The grand finale of the football matches ended with an exciting battle between the teams of "Admin" and " Metallurgy." The winners' trophies were presented personally by Hristo Stoichkov and the CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria, Rakan Rahbani.

"It is an honor for me to be part of this event in my first year as CEO of Aurubis Bulgaria. Tournaments are an example of how sport brings people together and promotes values that we also uphold in our work—teamwork, persistence, and the pursuit of success. I would like to thank all my colleagues for their active participation and enthusiasm," said Rakan Rabani.

The company and Stoichkov awarded all tournament participants with gold footballs. As Bulgaria's golden number 8 stated,
"We are awarding a gold ball not just as a symbol. We are recognizing the hard work, effort, and mindset: you can do it, you deserve it."

During the ceremony, winners in all disciplines were honored. Awards in various categories were also presented by Dimo Kirilov, Head of Production and Lab, Vasil Dosev, Head of Finance Department, Nikolay Nedelchev, Head of Technical service and Development, Ivan Gradinarov, Manager of Technical Support and Energy Supply, Evgeni Visariev, Manager of Slag Flotation Plant, and Boyan Boyanov, AOS Manager.

The event was supported by the municipality of Pirdop, which once again demonstrated its commitment to the development of the sport in the region.

Aurubis Bulgaria's internal sports tournaments are an annual initiative of the company, which encourages an active lifestyle among employees and creates opportunities for young people in the region to be inspired and develop in various sports disciplines.
