Metals for Progress

Pori has a long tradition of copper production. The story began in 1910 with the discovery of the Outokumpu ore deposit, marking the beginning of Finland's copper industry. Copper products have been manufactured in Pori for more than 80 years.

The completion of the copper rolling mill in 1966 laid the foundation for today's operations. Today, Aurubis Finland operates the Nordic region's only copper rolling mill with an integrated foundry. Copper products manufactured in Pori are used in electrification, renewable energy, industry and construction projects around the world.

Since 2011, Aurubis Finland has been part of Aurubis AG, Europe's largest copper producer and one of the world's leading copper recyclers. Our international network brings together more than 7,000 professionals across over 20 countries.

While we are part of a global group, our roots remain firmly in Pori. By combining local expertise, advanced manufacturing technology and the strength of an international network, we produce high-quality copper products for customers around the world.
