Metal Production from Recycling Material

Aurubis is a global leader in copper recycling. With state-of-the-art technologies, we are able to process a variety of recycling materials efficiently, guarantee environmentally sound production and fabricate high-quality products.

In addition to processing copper concentrates, recycling copper scrap, alloy scrap and other recycling materials is a central business activity in copper production at Aurubis. We offer a broad spectrum of processing options and services related to the recycling of copper, precious metals and other non-ferrous metals.

We also process highly complex recycling materials such as electrical and electronic scrap, from which it is becoming increasingly difficult and complex to separate raw materials like copper, silver and gold, into valuable products.

Metal recycling is also equivalent to raw material security and environmental protection. Non-ferrous metals and precious metals have outstanding recovery properties. Recycling copper, silver, gold and other non-ferrous metals doesn’t lead to losses of quality in the metals and can be repeated as often as desired.

About 700,000 t of recycling raw materials of varying qualities and compositions are processed annually in our modern, environmentally friendly facilities.
