Aurubis procures various kinds of raw materials for its copper production process. Most of the raw material input consists of imported copper concentrates that Aurubis obtains directly from copper mines in various countries primarily on the basis of long-term supply agreements. Copper concentrates are processed within the Aurubis Group in Hamburg and Pirdop.

Furthermore, copper scrap is treated in Hamburg, Lünen, Olen and Pirdop. These materials are procured worldwide on the basis of short-term delivery agreements. A number of additional copper and copper recycling materials are processed in our recycling center in Lünen, but also in Hamburg. These include copper and precious metal-bearing residues, such as dross, slags and dust, but also circuit boards, spent catalysts and materials from the waste management sector.
