Aurubis is the global leader in copper recycling. About one-third of the Group’s copper products originate from the processing of copper scrap, copper alloy scrap and other copper-bearing recycling materials.

About 600,000 tonnes of recycling raw materials with a great variety of consistencies and compositions are treated in our state-of-the-art, environmentally friendly facilities each year.

The feed materials range from classic copper scrap to metal-bearing industrial waste as well as copper-bearing and precious metal-bearing fractions of end-of-life products.

Recycling in the Aurubis Group starts with material identification and includes exact sampling and precise chemical analysis, followed by preparation and pyrometallurgical processing and ends with the production of new high-grade products.
