Pre-rolled strip
In the Aurubis Group, pre-rolled strip is produced at Schwermetall Halbzeugwerk in Stolberg, a 50% holding. Pre-rolled strip is a product made of copper or copper alloys, which has many areas of application depending on the material.
Our pre-rolled strip is processed in many industrial sectors, e.g. in the construction industry, the automotive, electronics and telecommunications industries and in coin production. This requires high quality standards, for which state-of-the-art production plants and technologies are a prerequisite.
The block, which has been cast as a continuous cast shape, is processed into pre-rolled strip by hot rolling, milling, cold rolling, annealing and pickling, which results in a product with dimensions and physical and technological properties that are tailor-made for the processors’ requirements. The narrowest tolerances as regards chemical analysis and dimensions are ensured by state-of-the-art measuring techniques.
Environmentally certified production processes ensure the sustainable and careful handling of resources.
