Copper is the material of progress and development. Copper can be recycled without any loss of its outstanding properties in terms of electrical and thermal conductivity, making it the ideal material for energy generation and transmission, electrical engineering, electronics, automotive and telecommunications. Copper has also corrosion-resistant, anti-bacterial and good forming properties further qualifying it for many other applications, which are also needed to ensure sustainable development of societies and economies.

Aurubis covers the whole value chain from the production of high-quality copper out of primary and secondary raw materials to the fabrication of copper products, such as wire rod, continuous cast shapes, copper strip and alloy strips, brass rods and shaped wires, bars and profiles. This includes also the production of precious or minor metals and other products, such as sulphuric acid and iron silicate.
